The Brighton Marathon is one of the UK’s favourite 26.2 milers with a stunning backdrop of the sea in one of the country’s most vibrant cities. The marathon sees runners starting at Preston Park and finishing by the Beach Village. If hotels in Brighton are full, then try these other nearby locations to stay during your visit:

Brighton transport links

Train - Southern Railway will be laying on additional trains over race weekend. There is a train station at Preston Park, a few minutes’ walk from the start line. Also, Brighton mainline station is only a 20-minute walk from Preston Park, or a quick train journey.

Bus - Bus services will be subject to diversion on race Sunday, so please check the website for the most up-to-date travel information and full timetables.

By car - There will be a number of road closures in place throughout race day, in and around the city of Brighton & Hove, so do your research beforehand. Runners and spectators can make use of the park and ride service on race day, which is available from three different sites, with shuttle buses to the start and finish points. There are also a number of NCP car parks accessible on race day along the seafront.

By taxi - If you are staying in or near Brighton, taxis will be able to collect you and drop you close to the start area on race morning.
